My dual background in both finance and construction has prepared me to serve as a Denver construction bookkeeper expert who truly understands both your job site challenges and financial needs. My journey blends finance and construction, giving me a unique perspective on contractor bookkeeping. Construction has been part of my life since youth, helping with the family buisness and gaining insights through my father’s career as a building official.
I began my professional career in finance, serving as an Accounting Manager for a securities company (holding Series 6, 63, and 7 licenses) and later as CFO for a mental health facility.
In 2006, I transitioned to construction, joining my family's custom home design/build firm in Idaho. I managed construction projects, negotiated with trades, set up and maintained the books, and worked hands-on with everything from home and HVAC design, to framing, flooring, and finish carpentry.
In 2015, I moved to the Denver market, spending nearly a decade with a major production builder as Warranty Manager, Regional Manager of Customer Care, and Director of Operations. This experience gave me deep insight into local construction practices, trades, and the unique challenges of the Denver market.
As a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, I combine my financial expertise with hands-on construction knowledge to provide specialized bookkeeping services to small contractors, specialty trades, and remodelers. My background, spanning small family business to large production operations—allows me to understand both the job site and the books from multiple perspectives.
When I'm not helping contractors organize their finances, you'll find me on the ice. I've been playing hockey since I was 28 and coaching youth hockey since 2008.
